June 13 – Revolution Updates

We timed this release to coincide with summer break across our partner divisions — pushing updates while schools are out means zero disruption to active programs. Maintenance window opens Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 AM. The system will be unavailable until Monday, June 15 at 8:00 AM.

REVOLUTION

New Features & Changes
  • Gradebook Architecture Improvements — Ongoing refinements to how gradebook and scoring data is organized behind the scenes. This release includes infrastructure improvements that strengthen data organization, support better performance, and keep the platform running smoothly as we continue to grow.
  • Performance Improvements — Faster load times and processing across the gradebook, scoring, and reporting areas. For divisions with larger student populations, operations that used to take a while should now feel noticeably quicker.
  • Manager Role — A new Manager role gives division leadership and department heads read-only access to gradebook data and reports across their assigned programs. They can see what they need to see without the ability to modify student records.
  • Granular Administrator Permissions — Administrators can now be assigned to specific schools or groups of teachers rather than having access to everything in the division. This gives organizations better control over who has visibility into which programs — especially useful for larger divisions managing multiple campuses or departments.
  • Predictive Failure Report — A new early-warning report that identifies students who may be on track to fall short of their competency requirements before the course ends. This gives instructors and counselors the opportunity to step in and support students while there’s still time to make a difference.

Resolved Issues
  • No bug fixes in this release — all effort focused on improvements and new features.

Known Issues & In Progress
  • (In Progress) School session management and archives — reworking how sessions are accessed so administrators can more easily view and report on data from previous school years.
  • (In Progress) Counselors and IEPs — adding a counselor role and tools for managing Individual Education Plans for students with disabilities.
  • (In Progress) Data Integration API — building the foundation for Revolution to connect directly with student information systems. The goal is to reduce manual data entry and duplication — enrollment, rosters, and student records flowing in automatically so your staff can spend more time on instruction and less time managing data.
